It goes without saying that it is extremely distressing when someone close to you dies. Moreover, it can be doubly difficult when you have the emotional trauma of bereavement to deal with and a funeral to arrange at the same time.
At Kevin Matthews Funeral Services we understand this completely and will do everything we possibly can to lighten your burden and provide practical, sensitive and caring help and support.

Talk to us as soon as you feel able to begin making the funeral arrangements. Naturally you can also chat to us at any point with the process, to check on arrangements, make any changes or simply for support.
Most important of all, we will take care of all of the practicalities. We will give you advice on the choices for the funeral, and ensure that everything we agree is in accordance with your wishes and those of your loved one. The most important decisions to make are:
whether the funeral is to be a cremation or burial
where it will happen – in a church, crematorium, cemetery chapel or graveside
when the funeral will take place
Arranging the funeral that you want
The funeral can be exactly as you wish it to be: elaborate or simple, religious or humanist - whatever feels right and is fitting for your loved one. You can choose a particular style of coffin or casket, with complementary flowers. You can select a favourite piece of music, hymn or reading for the funeral ceremony, and add extra touches that reflect the deceased like a favourite sports team’s colours, or something linked to a favourite hobby or pastime.
